PAIA Manual

This manual is compiled as required by Section 51 of PAIA for private bodies. It sets out the categories of records held by Joyboy Media (Pty) Ltd and the process for requesting access to those records.

5. How to Request Access to Records
Any person wishing to request access to records held by Joyboy Media must submit a written request to the Information Officer. The request must:
- Be made in writing (email is acceptable)
- Include the requester's full name, contact details, and identity number (or registration number if a juristic person)
- Describe the record(s) requested with sufficient detail to identify them
- State the form in which access is requested (copy, inspection, etc.)
- Indicate the right being exercised or protected, and why access is required

6. Fees
Joyboy Media does not currently charge a request fee for voluntary information access. Should a formal PAIA request require significant reproduction of records, reproduction costs may apply in accordance with the PAIA Regulations. We will notify the requester of any applicable fees before proceeding.
7. Grounds for Refusal
Access to records may be refused on grounds set out in PAIA, including but not limited to:
- Protection of the privacy of a third party
- Protection of commercial and confidential information of a third party
- Protection of the commercial interests of Joyboy Media
- Records privileged in legal proceedings
